The Institute of Environmental Protection has the pleasure to introduce to everyone interested in Polish environmental protection the "Index of the Polish Legal Acts on the Environment in Poland" published in the Polish Official Journals. It covers the statutes and executive regulations of environmental protection legislation. The Index is a selection of the major legal acts concerning environment as well as international agreements (conventions, protocols and other multilateral agreements).
The intention of the authors has been to facilitate the access to the
available information on national legal regulations on the environment in accordance with the Aarhus Convention on Access to Information, Public Participation in Decision-Making and Access to Justice in Environmental Matters. The designing and developing of the database was possible thanks to the financial support of the National Found for Environmental Protection and Water Management. The databases " Index of the Polish Legal Acts on the Environment in Poland" (in Polish and English version) have been located on the server of the Institute of Environmental Protection and are available at the address: http://www.ios.edu.pl/indeks.html
The index of legal acts is updated, i.e. new acts are included and acts no longer in force are removed. In some cases the acts which have been repealed are quoted, if their executive acts are still in force.
